DETECTOR DEVELOPMENT FOR PROTEIN CRYSTALLOGRAPHY Tomographic Measurements

For this experiment a metal screw (M12) rotating
with a frequency of 4000 turns/min was
illuminated with a parallel 8 keV beam (x-ray
tube), whilst the radiographic image was
continuously recorded with the 2D detector. By
applying the special time resolution technique,
the data were cut into 18 separate images
corresponding to angular intervals of 20 deg each.
These 2D radiograms enable to visualize the rapid
movement of the sample, to obtain 2D
tomograms at any vertical cut, and, eventually, to
obtain a 3D image by setting the 2D tomograms
