... member of the H1 group of DESY Zeuthen which has contributed to the H1 detector the Outer z-Drift Chamber COZ
and the Backward Silicon Tracker BST. Being an electronics engineer my work focused on

• the conceptual design of the BST Trigger System
• the design of the semiconductor detectors (pad & strip detectors)
• the design & implementation of the digital trigger electronics (some work to be finished yet)
• the development of frontend synchronization & data compression algorithms
• the BST slow control & alarms system

... currently working on the upgrade of the H1 silicon detectors to be installed in 2000: the BST3 and the FST.

Here is a technical description of the BST with main emphasis on the PAD detectors.
