Accommodation and Conference Site

Since the session starts on September 12, 9:00 the participants are asked to arrive on September 11. The registration desk will be open from 4 p.m. onwards near the Hotel's reception desk.
All participants will be booked at the same Hotel, where also the conference site is located. The InterCity Hotel Weimar, formerly Hotel Empress Augusta (named after the wife of Emperor Wilhelm I of Prussia, a Princess of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach), is located at the South of a square, recently restored in the 19 century style, in front of Weimar railroad station next to Duke Carl-August-Allee. The historic center of Weimar (National Theater, Goethe and Schiller living houses, etc.) is located at a distance of 15 min walk. Frequent bus connections are also available. Participants arriving by train just cross the square in front of the station to reach the hotel. Participants arriving by car leave freeway A4 at exit Weimar and follow the hotel signs (green) upon entering the town or drive towards the main station. Limited in-house parking is available at a rate of DM 15.-/day but has to be reserved in advance. Please contact the conference secretary by e-mail. Participants arriving at Erfurt Airport may either take public transportation down-town Erfurt to the station and take a train to Weimar (20 km) or take a taxi (30 km) for a fare of about DM 70.- Please send us both the filled in Registration Form and Reservation Form at your earliest convenience but not later than the firm deadline

The daily conference rates amount to 

DM 190.00/single room accommodation
DM 156.50/double room accommodation

They include lodging, breakfast, all beverages during the breaks, and lunch, as well as free fares for the city buses during the conference. Accompanying persons pay an accommodation rate of DM 87.50/day in a double room and DM 135/day in a single room. Breakfast and the city-bus ticket is included in the fee, but all other meals and drinks have to be paid to the hotel directly. As we are provided a special conference rate

is requested. Participants canceling their participation after 

July 15, 2001

agree to pay 80% of the fee for which they were booked to the hotel. After February 15, 2001 all the smaller changes in arrival/departure dates can be settled with the hotel directly by fax. Please keep the conference secretary informed about these via e-mail or fax as well. The sessions of the meeting will be on September 12, 9:00--17:00, September 13, 9:00-15:00, September 14, 9:00-17:00, September 15, 9:00--13:00.
