Total Performance
- We have measured the total performance of this system under the following conditions.
- The interrupts on each VME crate is generated simultaneously (i.e., worst case).
- Each link transfer 1MB data per interrupt.
- Receiver Workstation buffers the data up to 30MB and record them on the tape at once.
- Then the observed maximum repetition cycle is 4.95Hz, i.e., transfer speed is 1MB x 3 x 4.95 = 14.85MHz. (Note that 1MB=1024x1024bytes).
