Supports these solid types:

• Constructed Solids (CSGs)
  • Boxes, Cylinders, Spherical shells
  • Boundary Represented (BREPs)
    • With any 2nd order or NURBS surface

    This is more general than Geant-3

    • allows you to design detectors with a CAD system (exchange via STEP)

    Volume types:

    • Solids
    • Logical Volumes
    • Physical Volumes
      • a logical volume placed (in another logical volume)
      • support replicated volumes
        • Any size, position, rotation

      ‘Smart voxels’ optimise intersections

      • Handles large CSG & ‘flat’ CAD geometries
