- Space points classified in 3(2)D sub-volumes in a space with coordinates:
- r: Radius (layer number)
- h: Pseudorapidity
- f: Azimuthal angle
- Linked list of hits in a sub-volumes allow fact access without moving data
- When extending tracks, only points close to the last added point are considered. Search is limited to boxes in the neighborhood of the last point.
