CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

The Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) invites participation in the

International Conference on

COMPUTING IN HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS

April 7-11, 1997, Rathaus Schoeneberg, Berlin, Germany

Early-Bird Registration Deadline *now*

Please note the deadline for registration at reduced conference fee arrives this weekend. The registration fee will be 540 DM for registration before February 1st, 1997, and 620 DM afterwards. Conference registration includes participation in the 5 days of the conference, welcome reception, conference dinner, and the conference briefcase. A few weeks after the conference, participants will receive a multi-media CD-ROM, including conference summary and all submissions to the conference.

IMPORTANT: NOTE that reduced conference fee can only be granted if payment is being made before February 1st! In any other case we are forced to demand the full conference fee of 620 DM.

Deadline for Touristic Program on *Feb 14*

A number of tourist activities for conference attendees and accompanying persons are organized on the weekends before and after the conference and during the conference week. For organizational reasons all the tours need to be booked in advance. Payment will be in cash during the conference.

Please visit our Web site at http://www.desy.de/chep97 and look in the "News" section for more information on the tourist program. The trips T1 (Berlin City Tour), T5 (Trip to Potsdam) and T6 (Trip to Dresden) take place in a conference free time and can be booked by everybody, while the other tours are intended for accompanying persons.

IMPORTANT: NOTE that all the tours require a minimum number of participants which must have registered before February 15. The early registration is necessary since there is no chance to get entrance tickets to the very popular museums etc on short notice. Registration forms for the tourist program can be found on the Web at the location mentioned above.
